Meet the Trustees …

Pauline Holmes - Chairperson

Hi, I’m Pauline. I have been attending the Cambs Therapy Centre for the past 3 years with my Daughter. Before getting involved with the Therapy Centre, I was a Registered General Nurse (RGN) for 44 years, where I managed a team of 50 staff. I enjoy talking to people, and listening to their needs, which is great for my work here.

I volunteer at the Centre on Mondays, and any other days that I’m needed. The Centre is a great place to meet people, chat, and enjoy the company of others. Come and see what’s on offer!

Martyn Fox - Vice Chairman

I’ve been coming to the Centre for nearly 10 years with my wife, Pat who has MS. I have been the Chairman of the Trustees and am Vice Chairman currently.

I attend the Centre most days it is open. The Therapy Centre is a great place to meet people with similar conditions. The Centre offers a number of complementary and alternative therapies, many of which, I have tried so I can recommend them from personal experience.

Noel Baker - Trustee

Hi, I’m Noel. I’ve been working at the Cambs Therapy Centre for the past two years. As well as being a Trustee, I also help out with the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber. I love helping people, and the staff, volunteers and members here, at the Centre, are so friendly.

Before I retired, I worked as a Police Officer, as well as an Advanced Driver Examiner and a Parish Councillor. Therefore, also being trained to operate the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber is a fantastic opportunity.

I work at the Centre on Mondays and Thursdays. The Centre offers varied skilled Therapists in numerous occupations – from massages to foot health. It is a good and friendly meeting place with helpful staff and a small but competent cafe – which supplies light lunches and refreshments. This Centre is a place where people with varied conditions can meet to discuss their problems, health and otherwise, without feeling shy, and know that others share the same feelings and problems.

Jo Holmes - Trustee

Hi, my name is Jo Holmes. I have been attending the Centre for the last 3 – 4 years or so, as I have M.S & Epilepsy. I regularly use the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy facility, for the better management of my conditions, & I also have a hands on therapy called Shiatsu. The Oxygen Therapy helps me to sleep better & restores better bladder function, & both therapies help to ease my pain.

I very much enjoy coming to the Centre & volunteering. I try to help where I can & I particularly enjoy participating within fundraising activities, & writing to other businesses for fundraising purposes.

You can usually find me at the Centre on a Monday. I look forward to welcoming you here, & happy to talk about my experiences with both M.S & Epilepsy & the usefulness of our therapies.
