PRESS RELEASE

The Huntingdon, Peterborough and Cambridge Therapy Centre Offers Oxygen Therapy for Long Covid

You will no doubt be aware the challenges long Covid is causing people across the country.  This is a condition that develops after the acute infection when the patient is no longer infectious, but can remain struggling with symptoms, the most common of which include fatigue and brain fog.

Research led by Dr Tim Robbins of the St Cross Hospital, Rugby is confident that oxygen therapy could potentially provide real benefit to people with long Covid.  At the Cambs Therapy Centre, Mayfield Road, Huntingdon sufferers of long Covid may wish to participate in this form of therapy.

The Centre is open three days a week for Oxygen Therapy which involves breathing pure Oxygen delivered by a mask and the use of a sealed room known as a ‘barochamber’.   A course of 12 one-hour therapy sessions is recommended, which is spread over a period of 6-12 weeks.

Please note this therapy is not a medical treatment.

For further details please contact the Centre at 01480 458688 or email carrie@hpcmstc.co.uk.  The Centre’s website is https://cambstherapycentre.co.uk
